Pieces Interactive and THQ Nordic have announced that the upcoming horror remake Alone In The Dark will be receiving a host of different editions that players can enjoy. If you’re looking to splash some cash on this anticipated reboot of a horror classic, here’s everything you need to know about the different editions of Alone In The Dark, including what you get for pre-ordering and what exactly comes in its relatively cheap Collector’s Edition.

Pre-ordering any version of Alone In The Dark will grant players the Derceto 1992 costume pack, which replaces the default character models with retro models lifted from the original 1992 version of the game. For long-time fans of the series, this retro throwback will add a nostalgic touch to their playthrough, while everyone else will likely get a bit of a giggle out of seeing a low-res version of Edward running around Derceto Manor.

The basic version of Alone In The Dark, there are no special bonuses for buying this edition of the game, unless you pre-order of course. A limited run of physical PC games will also be available from the THQ Nordic store, though only 3,500 copies will be made.

The bumper digital version of Alone In The Dark, the Digital Deluxe Edition of the game includes the Vintage Horror Filter Pack, along with the Director’s Commentary Mode. As always, pre-ordering this version will also grant the Derceto 1992 pack too.

The big kahuna edition of Alone In The Dark, the Collector’s Edition includes a lot of goodies for any horror fan to enjoy; here’s an unboxing of everything that’s included. Inside the Collector’s Edition, you can expect:

– The Dark Man Statue, which is 26cm/10 inches in height– The game itself on PS5, Xbox Series X & S, or PC (disc version_– An Alone in the Dark Steelbook– Ostadte, a miniature 10cm/4 inches in height– A “Do Not Disturb” Doorhang– Derceto 1030 Wallsticker Set– The Collector’s Edition DLC Package (Derceto 1992 Costume Pack, Director’s Commentary Mode, Vintage Horror Filter Pack)

The Collector’s Edition of Alone In The Dark will only have 5000 total copies printed, with that number spread across the THQ Nordic store and various international partners, so check with your local retailer if you’re looking to pick it up.

Alone in the Dark will launch on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X & S.
